worth it?

Privacy Policy

Effective July 16, 2026
tl;dr: we collect nothing. your salary never leaves your browser. pinky promise.

What the extension stores

Worth it? asks for your hourly rate or yearly salary, your currency, and a few display preferences. All of it is saved locally on your device using Chrome's local storage. None of it is ever sent to us or to anyone else. We could not read it even if we wanted to, and we do not want to.

What the extension reads

To show its badges, the extension scans the text of shopping pages you visit for prices, entirely on your device. That page content is processed locally and immediately discarded. It is never stored, transmitted, or logged.

The one network request

Roughly once a day the extension downloads a public exchange rate table from open.er-api.com so it can convert prices shown in other currencies into yours. That request contains no personal data, no browsing data, no page URLs, and no identifiers of any kind. It is the same table for everyone on earth.

What we do not do

Permissions, in plain words

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date. Given that we collect nothing, do not expect drama.
